As of March 21, 2022, New Orleans has lifted its mandate requiring proof of vaccine or negative COVID test to enter certain businesses. Individuals are not required to wear a mask or face covering with the exception of the following: Healthcare facilities and long-term care settings, as specified in Federal guidelines.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, New Orleans & Company has promoted the highest safety protocols and strongly encouraged visitors to follow guidelines for masking, social distancing, and vaccines for the safety of all who choose New Orleans as a city to live, work, and visit.
Today, Orleans Parish has among the highest vaccination rates in the state.
New Orleans' vaccination rates - both for eligible persons 18 years or older having received at least one dose, and those who are fully vaccinated - have remained strong.

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours, is no longer required in Orleans parish, though we encourage travelers who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine to get vaccinated for their own safety, the safety of other visitors and the safety of the tens of thousands of men and women who rely on our hospitality industry for their livelihoods.
