A new tradition is being birthed in New Orleans: the Family Style To-Go Meal. A number of local restaurants have adopted this tradition in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, curating a rotating menu of daily specials with enough food to feed a family of four to six. Red beans & rice Mondays, spaghetti Wednesdays, and fried fish Fridays are just some of the offerings at these local restaurants, along with various a-la-carte items.

Now that New Orleans has entered into Phase One of the reopening plan, some restaurants have opened their dining rooms to seat a limited number of people. However, the takeout and delivery Family Style meals remain an option on their menus. While the meals included below represent current offerings, daily menus are often posted on the restaurants’ social channels, and they tend to sell out, so be sure to get your order in early.
