On our airboat tour, we drive down to the quaint and remote Cajun village of Lafitte for a thrilling, high-speed ride onboard one of our seven passenger airboats, comfortably gliding over marshes, deep into secluded bayous for approximately two hours. You may even get to hold a baby alligator, feed giant catfish or meet a nutria face to face.

See gators, herons and other Louisiana wildlife up close and personal. Rides can be custom-tailored to cater to your specific needs... from smooth and easy to wild and crazy (or anything in-between)! Airboat Tours is located just minutes away from New Orleans' International Airport. We invite everyone to come to the bayou and experience for yourself the ride of your life in an airboat. Our airboat can actually go on the marsh. Seventy-five percent of the time, you will be on land or deep into the cypress swamps, where you can see beautiful, moss-draped trees and wildlife. We are surrounded by a quiet fishing village where the time seems to stand still. Your guide Arthur is a commercial alligator and crab fisherman, born on the bayou and a lifelong resident of Bayou Gauche. He is very knowledgeable on the ecology of the marsh.

For many years, people have traveled extensively to experience the unique and exciting landscape that you can only find here – the famous Manchac Swamp. We invite you to join us for a unique journey back to the early days of Louisiana bayou and swamp explorations. Swamp creatures, seeing our boats daily, recognize them as part of their normal environment. Unafraid and responsive to their boat captain's call, they peak out from underbrush and between moss-draped trees and shrubs, frequently coming directly to the boat. In the safety and comfort of the boat, you can actually come within a few feet of jumping gators. As your boat drifts through the waterways, you will learn about the Louisiana wetlands and the inhabitants of the swamp, particularly the life and habits of the American alligator, as well as the unique history of the Cajun town of Frenier, which is located at this property.
