Tulane seeks top Florida running back Shaw

A player to keep an eye on for Tulane recruiting fans is 5 star running back Marcus Shaw (5'10- 180,4.5) Arcadia, Florida.

Shaw amassed 2,380 yards rushing and 35 touchdowns in 2008. He is the 23rd rated running back in the nation. Tulane, UCF, Syracuse and Iowa State have extended offers.

Now why do I think that Green Wave head coach Bob Toledo has a shot at this outstanding player? Call it the Matt Forte factor. After seeing what Forte did at Tulane his senior season and how he shined for his alma mater in the NFL with the Chicago Bears, a young prospect's eyes turn Tulane's way as he envisions himself duplicating such feats in the same pro-style offense that the Green Wave runs.
