Troy covers the Gulf Coast's competitive sailing scene for several prominent national publications, most recently the 555 mile Regatta al Sol from Pensacola to Isla de Mujeres, Mexico and New Orleans' fast growing Mardi Gras Regatta. He also freelances a wide array of environmental, news and business stories and has two books that will be released nationally in the Spring of 2010 covering New Orleans' fine dining.
A native New Orleanian and active Lakeview resident, Troy's writing first appeared publically when he rode out Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath and was able to blog the chaos which was carried by news organizations around the world.
He is on the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Yacht Club and for the newly formed, Friends of West End, which is a quasi public entity tasked with reinvigorating the West End area.
