Born and raised in the New Orleans area, Ken Trahan has been a sports media fixture in the community for 32 years.
Having accumulated three national awards and 17 state and local awards for his work in the field, Ken currently serves as Program, Operations, and Sports Director of WGSO, 990 AM and hosts award-winning shows, including Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report and The Three Tailgaters Show with Ed Daniels and Archie Manning.
Ken is the President and General Manager of Neworleans.com Sports. Ken is also the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of the Saints Hall of Fame Museum in the Superdome. Ken also writes a monthly column for the Kenner Star newspaper.
Among Ken’s ministry efforts, Ken works as the Director of Life Resources Sports Ministries and helps conduct faith-based weekly Bible study/luncheons, produces and co-hosts the Life Resources Bottom Line Sports Hour with Michael Green on WGSO, and produces and hosts the radio ministry for Williams Blvd. Baptist Church titled “Walking in the Word” at 5:30 Monday-Friday on WBSN, 89.1 F.M.
Ken is an ordained deacon and has previously conducted Bible studies for the New Orleans Zephyrs and at the University of New Orleans. Ken also served as an Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
A graduate of Loyola University (B.A.-Communications) in New Orleans and Archbishop Rummel High School, Ken resides in Kenner with Denise, his wife of over 23 years, and their children Sabrina (19), a sophomore at LSU and Travis (16), a junior at Archbishop Rummel.
