Nate Fury commits to Tulane baseball

Less than two weeks after committing to Delgado, Nate Fury has moved up
to Division One in a big way while staying in his hometown.
NewOrleans.Com Sports has learned that the former Archbishop Rummel star has committed to play for Rick Jones at Tulane University.
Fury, who was the 10-5A Most Valuable Player, led Rummel to the 5A state quarterfinals. He was 10-3 with a 1.89 Earned Run Average and he led Rummel with a .421 batting average while hitting nine home runs and driving in 37 runs.
Fury was named to the Louisiana Sportswriters Association All-State team in 5A. Fury, a 5'9, 180 pound pitcher/third baseman, is playing for the Louisiana Knights travel team this summer. He is hitting .408 with one home run and nine RBI. On the mound, Fury is 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA. In 20 innings, he has allowed only four runs and nine hits with just three walks and 24 strikeouts.
Southern Mississippi and Southeastern Louisiana had shown previous interest in Fury.
