After 17 weeks of weeding out the pretenders, we now have the second season. It's playoff time and before a down is even played in the 4 wild card games this weekend we have 2 big surprises. All road teams are favorite. When did you ever think you'd see that?
So this is it. Week 17. For several teams a playoff spot hangs in the balance. For me well a nice bounce back last week with a 10-6 mark straight up and an 11-5 record against the spread. There's a way to forget my worst week ever. Now on to Week 17 where I look to finish on a strong note. But first a quick rewind to one of my better weeks of the season.
Two weeks until the playoffs, but you wouldn't know it if you listened to me last week. I went 9-7 straight up. Big deal right? I mean that's a little below average for me, but not too bad. Bad news is I was 4-12 against the spread: by far my worst week of the season.
There's bad weeks and then there's 'bookies-breaking-legs' weeks (not that I'd know about such things). But enough playing around. It's time for my week 16 selections.
The Pro Bowl. Instituted as the AFC vs. NFC since the merger, it is supposed to mean a trip to Hawaii and a reward for the best players in each conference. I say again it means a reward for the BEST players in each conference.
