Shooting guard Jermaine Taylor of Central Florida will workout for the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday, June 9.

At 6'4, 210 pounds, Taylor has an NBA-ready body. He has three-point shooting range and is athletic.

The 22-year old had a big year at Central Florida this past season, averaging 26.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 48% from the field, 37% from three-point range and 81% from the free throw line. Taylor is ranked as an early second-round draft choice.

As we have reported previously, shooting guard Marcus Thornton of LSU is scheduled to workout for the Hornets on June 8. He is now slated to workout as well on June 16 for New Orleans. He is projected as a late first round draft pick and figures to be available when the Hornets select #21 overall.

The Hornets have stated that they plan on retaining their first round pick, refuting rumors that they would sell the pick as they did last year.
