New Orleans Saints

Talk about New Orleans sports, and the conversation almost always begins with the New Orleans Saints. The city of New Orleans joined the National Football League on November 1, 1966, and the Saints took the field for the first time 10 months later. Always popular in a football-crazed city, Saints madness reached an all-time high in the 2009 season, when the team reached – and won – its first Super Bowl, led by quarterback Drew Brees, who was voted the game’s Most Valuable Player.
The Saints play two preseason and eight regular-season games in the Merceds-Benz Superdome, the team’s home turf since 1975. Though the team’s home games have been sold out on a season-ticket basis since 2006, the Saints and other NFL teams participate in a ticket exchange program in which you can buy tickets from current ticket holders.
