The Bienville House, a French Quarter hotel, combines romantic Old World charm with boutique hotel style, and is the sister property to the landmark "Grand Dame" of the French Quarter, the Hotel Monteleone. After an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation completed in 2008, the hotel has the feel of an elegant French Quarter mansion in the guise of an upscale boutique hotel.
The Bienville House lobby and adjoining salon are dressed in period-style furniture and hand-painted murals, and open onto a lush courtyard that surrounds a cobalt blue heated saltwater swimming pool. Classic French Quarter décor carries through to the hotel's 83 rooms and three suites. Many rooms have private wrought iron balconies overlooking the courtyard. Other rooms open onto enclosed sun decks shared by two or three additional rooms, making Bienville House in the French Quarter an ideal New Orleans hotel for groups booking a bachelorette or wedding party weekend in New Orleans.
Iris, the hotel's award-winning restaurant and bar, is the domain of chef Ian Schnoebelen, chosen by Food and Wine Magazine as one of the 10 Best New Chef's in America.
