Dirty Linen Night is a tongue in cheek festival that started off as a response to White Linen Night, regarded as "stuck up" by some locals. You can walk down the 500-1000 blocks of Royal Street to experience live music, great food, local art and a chance to meet the artists. Dirty Linen is produced by and for the unique artists, shops and galleries in the heart of the French Quarter. Shopping is also a must because many stores put out laundry baskets and offer sales to Dirty Linen patrons.
Dirty Linen Night has been around for over 9 years and it continues to celebrate the fun that New Orleans is known for. It's completely free and open to the public and many patrons welcome the business of the festival goers. There is no dress code, so wear whatever you like!
The easiest way to keep up with all the events happening in the Big Easy is to regularly check the NewOrleans.com calendar.
