The fact David Treadway was born in 1970 would seem an impossibility when you consider his accomplishments. A native of New Orleans and son of a Big Band musician, David and his siblings never knew a world without music.
Following in his father's footsteps David began playing the drums. David's natural abilities made the formal lessons he was receiving seem unnecessary to him, and in fact he considered them boring. But because of strict self-discipline, and more than a little parental encouragement, David stuck with the lessons. Until, after nine years, an insightful, if not temperamental instructor decided to set David free of the regiments of formal instruction and unleash his potential in a more free style and less traditional manner. In short, he kicked the unruly young drummer out of class. This gave David the freedom to express his talents in any way he chose, without limitations.
