President/General Manager - NewOrleans.com Sports Born and raised in the New Orleans area, Ken Trahan has been a sports media fixture in the community for 31 years having accumulated three national awards/recognition (National Football Foundation, College Hall of Fame, Professional Bowlers Association) and 17 state and local awards for his work in the field (UPI, A.P., New Orleans Press Club, Airline Place Management, Excellence in Media).
Additionally, Ken is the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of the non-profit Saints Hall of Fame Museum in the Louisiana Superdome and serves as Sports Director of WGSO Radio, 990 AM, and WGSO.com serving as host of the award-winning shows "Ken Trahan's Original Prep Football Report" and "The Three Tailgaters Show" with Ed Daniels of WGNO-TV and Archie Manning.
Ken also host "The Life Resources Bottom Line Sports Hour," combining faith and sports. Ken also writes a monthly column for the "Kenner Star" newspaper, runs "Life Resources Sports Ministries," and produces the "Walking In The Word" radio ministry Monday-Friday on WBSN, 89.1 FM at 5:30 PM daily.
Ken has hosted many television shows, including the magazine show "Sports Report" on WHNO-TV, "The Tim Floyd Show," and "The Monte Towe Show" on Cox Communications and Cox Sports Television.
Ken has done play-by play for the New Orleans Saints (pre-season), the New Orleans Zephyrs (1993-2000), the New Orleans Night (1991-1992), Tulane University (television-1982-1998), the University of New Orleans (television and radio-1982-2006), professional boxing (WPXL and Cox-1985-1991) and prep sports (1977-Present).
In the New Orleans market, Ken has worked in sports for WGSO, WQUE, WTIX-AM, WLTS, WYAT, WWIW, WBYU, WWL, WTIX-FM, Cox Communications, WPXL-TV, and WHNO-TV.
A graduate of Loyola University (B.A.-Communications) and Archbishop Rummel High School, Ken resides in Kenner with Denise, his wife of over 22 years, and their children, Sabrina (18) and Travis (15).
