Louisiana Tech to Play at TCU

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech will attempt to beat TCU for the second-straight season as they take on the Horned Frogs on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Fort Worth.

Last season, Tech never trailed in a 72-67 win over TCU at home. Kyle Gibson led the team with 23 points.

This year, LA Tech enters the game with a 4-1 record after a dominating 86-66 win over UALR on Wednesday. Gibson, Magnum Rolle and Olu Ashaolu each reached 20 points to lead the Bulldogs to their best start since 2000. A win on Saturday would give Tech its best start since starting 5-0 in the 1990-91 season.

TCU is 4-2 on the season and coming off of a 103-99 win over Texas State in triple overtime at home on Tuesday. The Horned Frogs only two losses came on the road, at Arizona State and at Nebraska. They have three players averaging double-figures and are led by Ronnie Moss’ 20.2 points per game. Last season, Moss scored 20 points in the loss to Tech.

Tech is 0-1 against the Mountain West Conference this season after falling at New Mexico in the World Vision Classic.

Series History
• Louisiana Tech leads the all-time series 3-0 with the last meeting coming last season at the Thomas Assembly Center. Kyle Gibson led all-scores with 23 points and Ronnie Moss led TCU with 20 as the Bulldogs won 72-67 on Dec. 22.

Three Players Score 20
In an 86-66 win over UALR this season, three Bulldogs reached the 20 point mark. Magnum Rolle led the team with 23 points and Kyle Gibson scored 22 while Olu Ashaolu had 20.

I Love College
Both Tech freshmen hit their first shots ever taken as a collegiate-athlete. Darius Redding hit his only field-goal attempted in the second half of a win over Texas-Pan American. Justin Rake’s first shot and make was a three-pointer in a win over Nicholls State.
