170 men’s cross country runners recognized
New Orleans, LA – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently announced that Dillard men’s cross country runner Sherman Coleman has been named a 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete.
Student-athletes must be nominated by their head coach and have achieved junior academic status, maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. The NAIA recognized 170 student-athletes from across the country.
Coleman, a native a Tomball, Texas, qualified with a 3.79 GPA. He is a junior majoring in chemistry and plans to attend graduate school to pursue a degree in exercise physiology.
