Cyber Guy with the digital ghost hunter Dr. Larry Montz and Le Petit Theatre

Kurt Knutsson is the CYBER GUY; America’s most watched tech authority.  The CYBER GUY originated from KTLA (Los Angeles) and quickly went into syndication across the country, today reaching a staggering audience of 48 million viewers not counting the millions reached daily when each segment hits the Internet.

The focus of the live October 30, 2009 CYBER GUY feature, was technology used in the field of parapsychological research with veteran field parapsychologist and ISPR founder Dr. Larry Montz.  Dr. Montz was demonstrating the new $38,000 HD FLIR P660 Thermal Imaging Camera with built-in GPS using previous test shots with the FLIR P660 taken throughout the DEGAS HOUSE & MUSEUM as seen on side-by-side computer screens and live thermal imaging demonstrations inside LE PETIT THEATRE.

The previously recorded segment within the broadcast was taped at KTLA studios with award-winning veteran investigative broadcast journalist Ron Kilgore, a member of the ISPR investigative team since the late 1990s.  And for those who watched it on television or online, it’s SO true - Ron Kilgore really was sent to the ISPR originally to debunk Dr. Larry Montz and his work but Ron’s investigation(s) of and with the ISPR led him to join the team prior to the explosion of millions of amateur ghost hunters.

The live portion of the broadcast began at 6:00am inside LE PETIT THEATRE in the French Quarter, the oldest continuous live community theater in the country.  Le Petit Theatre was a hotbed of paranormal activities during the six-year parapsychological field research study conducted in the Crescent City by Dr. Montz from 1990 into 1997.  Dr. Montz documented the identities of 12 earthbound entities inhabiting the property and during that timeframe, the theatre also became a favorite GHOST EXPEDITIONS™ site where literally thousands of GE participants experienced some form  paranormal activity (examples can be found in the book, ISPR INVESTIGATES THE GHOSTS OF NEW ORLEANS).

In fact, during my first visit to New Orleans in January of 1995 and while still quite the skeptic myself, I had such a huge in-my-face paranormal experience inside Le Petit Theatre right outside of the main auditorium,  that the theatre became of my favorite NOLA hot-spots for both paranormal matters and live entertainment.

And in case you didn’t know, today, Le Petit Theatre, located across the street from Jackson Square, is enjoying a fabulous revitalization under the management of the Solomon Group while playing a vital role in bringing quality live performances to New Orleans like DAMN YANKEES,  Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA, GREY GARDENS, THE WEDDING SINGER and Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS, just to name a few.

Note:  A special “THANKS” to Patrick at ABC 26…it was SO COOL to work with you again!

Daena,
Great working with you all. The segment was a huge hit around the country and here at home on ABC 26 News WGNO-TV where New Orleans now gets a regular dose of tech added to the gumbo of local news we do each day starting with the Good Morning New Orleans, News@11 and our evening news. Yes, I sound like a tv commercial for WGNO ABC 26.. but that's just cause I know my colleagues are doing more amazing work for us in New Orleans than ever before.
