Despite winning against a previously unbeaten team in St. Charles Catholic, John Curtis (7-0) dropped in this week’s national prep rankings.
The Patriots dropped seven spots from seventh to #14 in the MaxPreps poll and fell to #21 in the Rivals poll. The Patriots take on Douglass Thursday night at Muss Bertolino Stadium in Kenner.
Meanwhile, the Lutcher Bulldogs are now ranked 11th in the Rivals 100 Poll. Lutcher (8-0) blanked Ellender 54-0 last Friday and will play at Vandebilt Catholic this Friday night.
West Monroe (8-0) is ranked 17th in the USA Today Super 25 poll after beating Byrd (Shreveport) 51-9 last Friday. West Monroe hosts Natchitoches Central this Friday night. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) remains the number one team in the land following their 49-7 rout of McArthur (Hollywood, FL) and will be at Deerfield Beach this weekend.

John Curtis drops to #14 after being ranked #7 a week ago. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) is ranked #1.
ESPN Fab 50 Poll
West Monroe drops one spot to #19 in this week’s poll while Curtis moves up one spot to #23. St Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) is ranked #1.
Rivals 100 Poll
Lutcher jumps up to #11 after being ranked 22nd last week. John Curtis drops down to #21 after being ranked as high as #12 while West Monroe moves up four spots to #23. St.Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) is #1.

West Monroe is ranked #18 and John Curtis #23 in the ESPN/RiseMag football poll.
