LSU and Georgia square off this weekend between the hedges. Turnovers will likely be a deciding factor. The Tigers only have committed 3 turnovers while the Bulldogs have 12.
LSU is 5th nationally with a plus 7 turnover ratio. Georgia is the 115th rated team in the country with a minus 9.

Against Arkansas, Georgia was penalized 3 times for holding and had 6 false starts. The Bulldog offensive line did not create any running lanes for RB's Caleb King and Richard Samuel against Arizona State. Georgia QB Joe Cox threw a pair of interceptions against the Sun Devils. The Bulldog offensive line has been subpar in pass blocking thus far.

Notre Dame broke a couple of streaks in the 27-21 win over Purdue. Neither was good.

Also, the Irish had scored 33 points or more in 3 consecutive games - 35 against Nevada, 34 against Michigan and 33 Michigan State. The last time that happened was in 1943 when the Irish also recorded six 33 point games.

---

USC recorded 8 sacks against Washington State. Reshirt freshman DE Nick Perry had two and leads the Trojans with 6. And he's not even a starter.

---

Oklahoma TE Jermaine Gresham, out the 2009 season after undergoing surgery to repair cartilage damage to his right knee, is opting out of a chance to redshirt and return in 2010 in order to enter the NFL Draft. The consensus that he has received, according to a story in the Oklahoman, is that Gresham should be a first round draft pick.

Gresham recorded 66 catches for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns in a Sooner uniform.

---

J.R. Ferguson (6'3-275), a 4-star recruit out of Frederick, Maryland, will probably line up at DE in college. He has good pass rush skills and had 14 sacks in 2008. He has paired his finalists to Miami, LSU, Notre Dame, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Fla. St.
