This tour, created by Anne Rice, will be overseen by Anne's 15+ year personal asistant, Suzie Quiroz who has been responsible for developing this much-anticipated new tour with Anne. The tour will feature a great deal of material on Anne Rice, her literary works as well as New Orleans history... and of course, her world-famous vampires and other supernatural beings!

Everyone refers to Sue Quiroz affectionately as "Suzie-Q," and for over 15 years she served as Anne Rice's right-hand gal. She's also the President of the Vampire Lestat Fan Club. Over those 15 years, Suzie traveled and toured the world with Anne Rice as part of her job duties. She accompanied Anne in Hollywood for business meetings in the entertainment industry and waited in thegreen rooms while Anne gave interviews on national talkers. You may catch Suzie at the Annex prior to your tour so ask nicely and she may even share a fun memory.

From the Paraplex Annex in the heart of the French Quarter, you’ll be whisked away in air-conditioned comfort to the Pearl River Swamp launch. Seated in a watercraft manned by a certified Captain, you’ll cruise through the mysterious swamps under the nighttime skies. Learn about the legends of ghosts and other creatures believed to inhabit the swamps but keep your eyes and ears alert for strange sights and sounds...discern what may be disturbances from land and water creatures from those attributed to spirits and other visitors rarely seen or heard from during daylight hours.

You’ll use your land legs again once you dock at a secluded beach, right in the center of the swamps. There, you’ll use telescopes trained on the night skies. Chances are, you’ll see falling space debris, meteors, satellites and if you’re lucky, you too will join the ranks of those who have witnessed a true UFO.
For those concerned with the paranormal closer to the earth’s crust, night vision goggles will assist you in seeing clearly in the night to better catch a glimpse of the entities and other beings said to haunt the swamps in the cover of darkness.

These tours run through the Pearl River Ecotour Company. The price is $69, and they start at 6:30 p.m. Monday – Sunday. There is a Midnight Special on Fridays and Saturdays for $145 that departs at 11 p.m.
