The River Café is a popular lunch spot located at 201 Evans Road in Elmwood. Chef Neal Lavin has been serving the New Orleans area for over three years. The River Café serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday and provides delicious daily specials.

In addition, to the daily specials: The River Café has a huge selection of salads, specialty pressed sandwiches, and much more. They are well known for the ruben southwest chicken sandwich, the cuban sandwich, riverletta, their fresh baked croissants with your choice of chicken, shrimp, or tuna salad, and the slow cooked roast beef cooked in house. The River Café also caters all over the New Orleans area. Chef Neal Lavin or Manager Donna Humphries would be more than happy to help cater any event!! In addition, The River Café was the Grand Prize winner in the June Jam Jambalaya Contest at the Treasure Chest and The River Café was voted best chicken andouille gumbo by ESPN Game Day.
