Gennaro’s 3206 Metairie Rd. Metairie, LA 70001 504-833-6870 It’s tucked away in Old Metairie under the Causeway overpass, but seeing how Gennaro’s has been there forever, it was probably around first. The place to be for the Metairie St. Patrick’s Day parade, they offer po’boys and fried seafood platters and have a pretty hoppin’ bar next door with karaoke five nights a week. |

The Galley Seafood Restaurant 2535 Metairie Rd. Metairie, LA 70001 504-832-0955 The Galley has been an Old Metairie favorite for years, and regulars swear it’s some of the best – if not THE best – fried seafood in town. The casual, fancy-free dining room is always packed, and when in season, the boiled crawfish are perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. That’s impressive, as it’s sometimes tough to find outside of a backyard boil. The Galley is set in a big, old house and there’s a patio for dining outside when the weather is nice. |
