Reserve your paddles now to bid on Galatoire’s tables for the Friday before Christmas New Orleans – November 10, 2008—On Monday, December 1, 2008, Galatoire’s restaurant continues it’s latest tradition of auctioning off tables for the popular Friday lunch before Christmas. Proceeds from the auction will be given to local charities WRBH 88.3 FM, Radio for the Blind and Print Handicapped and The Southern Food & Beverage Museum. Since 2006, Galatoire’s patrons have raised over a quarter of a million dollars for local charities by bidding on tables for the Friday before Christmas and Mardi Gras.

Please put in your calendar that starting this November, the MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN COCKTAIL will begin its monthly Mixology Monday series. The program aims to bring accomplished mixologists from around the world to New Orleans to share their skills and expertise with bartenders and other industry professionals. The presentations are priced so that everyone can attend and the fee includes Museum admittance. The first session will be held at the Museum on Monday, Nov 3, at 6:30 pm and will be hosted by renowned cocktail and spirits expert, Dale DeGroff, author of the new book: "The Essential Cocktail". His lecture is titled "The Essential Cocktail -The Art of Mixing Perfect Drinks."
