Jazz Centennial Celebration Presents: in conjunction with Satchmo Summerfest 2009 “SATCHMO CLUB STRUT” Throughout the Frenchmen Street District Friday, July 31st, 2009
The New Orleans Jazz Centennial Celebration is proud to bring back New Orleans’ much-loved summer tradition with the 9th Annual Satchmo Club Strut, the musical club crawl down Frenchmen Street on Friday, July 31, 2009. The “Strut” is a great way to start the weekend long Satchmo Summerfest produced by French Quarter Festivals Inc celebrating Louis Armstrong and jazz in all its forms. The Club Strut serves as both a fundraiser for our non-profit jazz outreach programs and a promotional vehicle for our music community’s rebuilding efforts.
Once again, they are featuring two levels of admission, general and VIP. General admission gets you access to all the clubs on Frenchmen St (except Snug Harbor) all night, with a multitude of outstanding New Orleans musicians playing in the spirit of Louis Armstrong. VIP admission gives you all that as well as access to the VIP balcony parties, featuring New Orleans top musicians in an intimate setting along with fantastic food and beverages from notable New Orleans eateries. VIP admission also gets you access to New Orleans premier jazz club, the legendary Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro, which is a limited seating venue. See you at the Strut!!
