(November 2, 2009—New Orleans) The French Market welcomes new vendors and farmers to the renovated Farmers Market and continues the annual French Market Christmas tree lighting and Tuba Fats traditions this month. In addition, there are weekly free music and educational events at The Jazz National Historic Park, a hidden gem in The French Market District in Dutch Alley, where Dumaine Street meets the River. Over sixty sousaphone players play throughout the French Market, from Washington Artillery Park to the Flea Market!  Turkey food demos and raffles and “early bird” retail specials at French Market shops.

Every Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. visit the Farmers Market for free parking validation, sample the new counter-top eateries, and purchase fresh local produce and seafood*.
