February 15, 2008…With national polls showing Barack Obama leading John McCain by a comfortable margin, some GOP leaders are getting concerned. Now, the big guessing game in GOP circles is who will be selected as the Republican running mate for McCain in the fall election. Sadly, the bench is pretty thin for the Republican Party because, believe it or not, some prominent conservative commentators, including Rush Limbaugh, are touting Governor Bobby Jindal as a potential Vice Presidential selection for the Republican Party. In fact, Limbaugh is hyping Jindal as the next Ronald Reagan.
February 8, 2008…Governor Bobby Jindal has only been in office a few weeks, but he has encountered more criticism since his inauguration than at any other time in his young political career. Most of the recent criticism centers on the ethics violation that resulted when an $118,000 in-kind donation by the Louisiana Republican Party was not reported by his campaign in a timely manner.
Founded in 1974, Save Our Cemeteries, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and protecting New Orleans' 31 historic cemeteries. Over the years, Save Our Cemeteries, Inc. has been responsible for the actual restoration of historic tombs that otherwise would have disintegrated beyond repair. Proceeds from tours led by representatives benefit the Save Our Cemeteries' tomb restoration programs, as well as educational projects, lectures, and workshops on cemetery preservation.
