resize-moonlight-paddle.jpgMoonlight Paddles in a Louisiana Swamp
2008 Dates - March 15th, may 17th, June 14th, October 11th and November 8th
Labranche, Manchac, Big Branch, Bayou Sauvage & Honey Island

What are Louisiana wetlands like at night-especially by moonlight? What sounds do you hear? What can you see? What is it like to paddle through open ponds and marshes or a maze of bayous, sloughs, small slender lakes and rivers, with the moon overhead and surrounded by a symphony of night sounds?

It's a vivid experience to paddle into a wetlands in the daylight, lunch at sunset and then paddle out by moonlight. Every sense will be strained to absorb as much of the experience as possible. At night, wetlands are alive with sounds of its inhabitants. Sometimes reflective orange-red eyes can be seen - alligators!!!

New Orleans kayak tours on the only bayou running through the City. Our guided kayaking tour is a peaceful, serene trip down Bayou St. John, a national historic waterway. You'll paddle in boats similar to those used by Native Americans when they showed the explorer Bienville this passage to the spot that was to become the French Quarter. One customer says that "we were kayaking in a beautiful natural setting, even though we were still in the middle of the city". "We really enjoyed being introduced to New Orleans (within 1 hour of our arrival) by kayaking with you! We had a wonderful visit...It's YOU TWO that make your business thrive!...Keep us in your world book of places to go and people to see...Thanks for your fresh enthusiasm with each new guest!"
