New Orleans Opera Association The New Orleans Opera Association (NOOA) is a professional opera company, producing four operas annually. We are the largest opera company in the Gulf South region, and ranked among the top 20 opera companies in the United States. We are one of the few companies in the country to maintain our own scenic studio---all our productions are created at the H. Lloyd Hawkins Scenic Studio in Metairie. The studio is an international resource, providing set rentals to other companies across the country. (More)

You may be surprised to know that revenues from ticket sales cover less than half the cost of each production. Opera is the most expensive art form to produce, and we rely upon a commitment from donors, patrons, and members of the business community to step forward and show their support, allowing the New Orleans opera to continue producing world class performances and award winning educational programs. Opera not only provides artistic enrichment for our community, it serves to attract corporations and professionals to the area and enhances the region’s appeal to a well-qualified workforce. A professional opera company adds to the quality of life in our community. (Make a Donation!)
